Take care. Stay strong.
These are bizarre times. The Corona virus affects us all. Whether we like it or not. As always, our first priority is the health of our employees, customers. suppliers and our environment. Nothing will change that. Certainly not now.
This situation will change things. That’s a fact. But we do not know what they might be or when. What we do know is that we are doing our very best to continue deliver the Waterman Onions service and quality. Despite the fact that sometimes we simply cannot fulfill all your wishes.
At this point we would like to inform you about a number of measures we have taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Every day we follow the news closely and will adjust the measures if necessary. The following rules are introduced at Waterman Onions:
– we no longer receive external visits to our company site in Emmeloord and we no longer visit customers or suppliers ourselves, only if strictly necessary. Visiting growers is only after special requests. We will continue to inspect the products but will avoid direct personal contact and guide as much as possible by telephone.
– we do continue picking up products from growers and delivering our products to customers. Always after consultation. However, government measures that vary from country to country can cause delays. In this regards we keep a close eye on all developments.
– (external truck) drivers are no longer allowed to enter the building. They visit many different places every day and can easily transfer the infection. Outside, we have created facilities for them.
– the hygiene measures of the Dutch National Health Institute are carefully monitored internally.
Finally. There is one thing we know for sure, and that is that we’ll get through this together. Above all, let’s help each other. Let’s (continue to) take good care of each other. Stay strong.
Warm regards from the Waterman Onions team in Holland,
Wim and Erik Waterman
